  We are pleased to announce that Medical Terminology, 2e textbook has published in Pressbooks with CC-BY 4.0 licensing. The online book and associated learning activities can be accessed at https://wtcs.pressbooks.pub/medterm/ , with PDF and Epub versions available for download from the Home page. The ISBN for the e-book is 978-1-957068-06-0. Here is a summary of revisions made to the second edition of the book. We would like to thank those who contributed to the development of this OER textbook whose names are listed on the Preface page of the book. This project was funded by the EduStat grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration.

  It was a pleasure to share Open RN OER at the OADN and discuss how we are using generative AI to create engaging virtual simulations to enhance the development of students' clinical judgment. The energy and excitement in the room was palpable as we shared just a few potential ways that educators can harness the capabilities of generative AI to create engaging and interactive learning activities!

  We are pleased to announce that "Open RN" is officially trademarked from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue to create and disseminate nursing OER designed for student success based on the "brand" recognition we have established over the past 5 years with funding from the Department of Education!

The Open RN team is pleased to announce the second edition of the Nursing Pharmacology OER ebook has been released and is available at this link: https://wtcs.pressbooks.pub/pharmacology2e .  Revisions have been incorporated based on feedback from WTCS faculty as well as a national peer review process. The second edition is aligned with the 2023 NCLEX Test Plans and contains dozens of new NCLEX Next-Generation style questions (including bowties) across all chapters.   We are pleased to report on numerous activities occurring this quarter of the one-year no cost extension of grant funding from the Department of Education. This quarter’s Performance Report is available here . Here is a high level overview of this quarter’s activities: According to Google Analytics, there have been over 8.8 million page views by over 3.6 million international users of the Open RN OER textbooks since June, 2020. Over 60 colleges and universities across the United States and Canada have adopted affordable print versions of one or more Open RN OER nursing textbooks. The entire series of Open RN nursing OER textbooks can be viewed on the Open RN website. An additional OER online textbook entitled Nursing Advanced Skills was published in April 2023.
